IVDR / IVDD
Our vitamin B1/B6 HPLC and UHPLC assays are already validated according to the new IVDR.
Our vitamin B1/B6 LC-MS/MS assay (87000) is validated according to the IVDD.
HPLC/UHPLC Solutions
Various methods for any requirements:
• Standard method or with Pre-mixed Tubes, for simplified manual sample preparation
• UHPLC methods for short analysis time and high sample throughput
LC-MS/MS Solution
Our mass spectrometry assay allows the determination of the active forms of vitamin B1 (TPP) and vitamin B6 (PLP) in whole blood by LC-MS/MS. The sample preparation can be performed very quickly and consists of a simple protein precipitation eliminating the need for a derivatisation – ideal for laboratories with higher throughputs.

Assay for the Analysis of Vitamin B2 in Whole Blood
Order No. | Method | Number of tests | Analysis time | Characteristics |
37000 | HPLC | 100 | < 9 min | Simultaneous determination of riboflavin, FMN and FAD |
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) is the precursor of two coenzymes known as flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD). Both are essential for tissue respiration and the generation of energy from the metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids and fats. Riboflavin is vital for normal reproduction, growth, repair and development of body tissues including the skin, hair, nails, connective tissue and immune system. Riboflavin is mainly converted into FMN and FAD in the small intestine, liver, heart and kidney.
Assay for the Analysis of Vitamin C in Plasma/Serum
Order No. | Method | Number of tests | Analysis time | Characteristics |
65065 | HPLC | 100 | 5 min | Standard method |
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a water-soluble vitamin that is an essential cofactor for the human body, for instance in the catabolism of tyrosine and the synthesis of catecholamines. Regular consumption of fruit and vegetables is usually sufficient to cover the body’s vitamin C needs.

Vitamin D is a recognised clinical chemical determinant associated with osteoporosis and osteopenia (reduction in bone density). It also plays a role in the body's immune response, cardiovascular diseases and some types of cancer. Therefore, vitamin D is highly important from a number of diagnostic perspectives.
Assay for the Analysis of β-Carotene in Serum/Plasma
Order No. | Method | Number of tests | Analysis time | Characteristics |
32000 | HPLC | 100 | < 10 min | Fast and easy sample prep |
β-Carotene (Provitamin A) is a precursor form of vitamin A, and is an essential nutrient for the human diet. β-carotene is a herbal dye used as a colouring in the food industry and in vitamin products. In humans, all-trans-β-carotene is functionally and quantitatively the most important of about 20 carotenoids present in the blood plasma. This assay assures reliable separation of α-carotene, cis-β-carotene and all-trans-β-carotene as well as the carotenoids cryptoxanthin and lycopene.
Assay for the Analysis of Methylmalonic Acid in Serum/Plasma and Urine
Order No. | Method | Number of tests | Analysis time | Characteristics |
64000 | LC-MS/MS | 400 | 3.5 min | Clean-up tubes for fast processing of serum/plasma samples or direct injection of urine samples after dilution |
64000 Urine Upgrade Set | LC-MS/MS | 200 | 3.5 min | Upgrade set for methylmalonic acid in urine |
Methylmalonic acid (MMA) is an intermediate of amino acid metabolism which results from the conversion of propionyl-coenzyme A to succinyl-coenzyme A in a vitamin B12-dependent reaction, and is regarded as an early, sensitive biomarker of vitamin B12-deficiency. Vitamin B12-insufficiency leads to high concentrations of MMA in plasma, serum and urine. Our MassChrom® Methylmalonic Acid (MMA) kits allow the specific determination of methylmalonic acid in all three matrices.
