The Chromsystems MassCheck® Controls are used to verify accuracy and precision in the quantitative determination of phosphatidylethanol (PEth) in whole blood. In routine use, they are run alongside each test series and are prepared and measured in the same way as the samples. As the controls are based on human matrix material (whole blood), the composition of human specimens can be simulated as closely as possible.
The controls are available in two different concentration levels (Level I and Level II) and are supplied in lyophilised form. The lot specific concentrations are listed in the package insert. They are also available for download as an Excel file, eliminating the need for manual entry.
Regulatory status of the product: Research Use Only (RUO).

• Based on human matrix material (whole blood)
• Covers forensically and clinically established decision limits
• For the two most important homologues PEth 16:0/18:1 and PEth 16:0/18:2
• Lyophilised
• High stability after reconstitution
