Amino Acid Analysis (AAA)

You can quantify 48 amino acids in research samples of plasma/serum or quantify 52 amino acids and creatinine in research samples of urine in one run.

  • One chromatographic platform for plasma/serum and urine
  • Fast sample preparation without derivatisation
  • Short run times
  • Excellent separation of all isobaric compounds
  • Each analyte with its own internal standard
  • Reaction vials or 96 deep well plates

One Assay - Two Test Modes

You can either measure 48 amino acids in 20 minutes, or alternatively determine the PKU/MSUD panel within 8 minutes. The analytes measured with both, the Full Panel and the PKU/MSUD Panel, are leucine, allo-isoleucine, isoleucine, methionine, phenylalanine, tyrosine and valine. Both panels use the identical chromatographic set-up and sample preparation.

52 Amino Acids and Creatinine in One Run

This assay allows the quantitative determination of 52 amino acids/metabolites and creatinine by LC-MS/MS in 20 minutes. Creatinine is also measured within the same run, which is used for the normalisation of the urinary amino acid concentrations. This eliminates the need for the time-consuming photometric determination and subsequent dilution of the sample. The assay can be ideally combined with our plasma assay without needing to change the chromatographic set-up.
