Creatinine *

* With this assay the creatinine level in urine can be determined within the same run!

MassChrom® Amino Acid Analysis in Urine enables the quantitative determination of 52 amino acids / metabolites by LC-MS/MS within 20 minutes. Creatinine is also measured within the same run and is used for the normalization of urinary amino acid concentrations. This eliminates the need for the time-consuming photometric determination step and the subsequent dilution of research samples. The assay can be combined with the plasma assay (75111/RUO) without needing to change the chromatographic set-up. The chromatography is also optimised to effectively separate all isobaric analytes. Derivatisation of research samples is not required, therefore, a simplified sample preparation can be performed faster and error-prone steps can be omitted for an increased accuracy of results and higher robustness of the method. Each of the 53 analytes is safeguarded by its own internal standard, which ensures the maximum accuracy and reliability of the method by compensating any variations in recovery, matrix effects and ionisation effectiveness. The assay is available in 2 configurations, either with reaction vials or with 96 deep well plates.
