Sustainability & Environment

Sustainability and environmental protection are high priorities at Chromsystems and are firmly embedded in our
corporate culture. We focus on environmentally friendly processes and efficient use of resources at all levels.
Through continuous improvement and the use of the latest environmentally friendly technologies, we will continue to reduce our carbon footprint.

Low energy consumption

Our company building is extremely energy-efficient and climate-friendly, thanks to state-of-the-art air-conditioning technology with heat recovery, as well as green electricity and district heating from sustainable sources. We also use energy-efficient solutions for appliances and lighting. In the near future, our new photovoltaic system will even enable us to run some of our technical systems independently and generate heat from geothermal energy.

Minimized transport distances

We manufacture, test and package all our products directly at our headquarters in Gräfelfing, near Munich, Germany, avoiding long transport routes and unnecessary intermediate packaging. We also rely on efficient supply chains and regional suppliers when sourcing materials.

Sustainable packaging

Wherever possible, we use sustainable materials in our packaging. For example, the wood used in our product boxes and outer packaging comes from FSC-certified forests that are responsibly managed to strict environmental and social standards.

Waste prevention & recycling

We ensure that materials and consumables are used efficiently at all stages of the process. Where waste is generated, it is separated and recycled or, where this is not possible, properly disposed of. This applies particularly to
chemicals and hazardous substances used in our products. We require our suppliers to do the same.

E-mobility

UOur company car fleet already has very low average fuel consumption thanks to a high proportion of electric and hybrid vehicles. We will continue to reduce our carbon footprint by gradually switching to 100% green electricity from wind and solar power.

Bundling orders

Bundling orders can significantly reduce transport and packaging. You can also make a valuable contribution to sustainability by consolidating your orders. We encourage you to do this by charging a fixed flat rate per shipment, regardless of the size of the parcel.
