These lyophilised quality controls from Chromsystems are based on human plasma and should be used according to the instruction manual. They are designed to monitor the accuracy and precision of analytical procedures in clinical diagnostics for the quantitative determination of vitamin B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate; pyridoxal) in serum/plasma. While following the instructions the controls should be handled and measured in the same manner as a patient specimen.

Stored below -18 °C unopened controls are stable until the expiry date which is stated on the vial labels.
The reconstituted control can be stored up to 5 days light protected, tightly capped at +2 to +8 °C. If the controls cannot be analysed within this period, they should be aliquoted and stored frozen below -18 °C (6 weeks).
