5-Hydroxyindoleacetic Acid (5-HIAA)

Homovanillic Acid (HVA)

Vanillylmandelic Acid (VMA)

MassChrom® Biogenic Amines/Metabolites in Urine - LC-MS/MS
With autosampler vials

Clinical Relevance

This Sample Prep Set – in combination with the chromatographic platform (order no. 80000) – allows the quantitative determination of vanillylmandelic acid (VMA), homovanillic acid (HVA), 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) in patient urine samples by LC-MS/MS.

It is used as a test for patients in whom the urine levels of these metabolites are of clinical importance.

Product advantage

  • Simple and fast sample prep
  • Isotopically labelled internal standard for each analyte
  • 6PLUS1® Multilevel Calibrator Set and MassCheck® controls available

Alternatively, there is also a method available using collection plates (80800/96 & 80800/480).

This Sample Prep Set encompasses all required components for an efficient and fast sample preparation.

In addition to the Sample Prep Set, the products of the Chromatographic Platform are required.
These are the analytical column, mobile phases A and B and the rinsing solution.
