Chemist / Food Chemist / Pharmacist (m/f/d) as R&D Scientist
HPLC and LC-MS/MS

Your role:

  • You will routinely support the development of innovative reagent kits for in-vitro diagnostics as part of a high-performing project team.
  • As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will transfer the reagent kits to pipetting robots. You will contribute your analytical chemical expertise and help to develop the required software applications on our platform.
  • Having experience and expertise in all aspects of liquid chromatography (HPLC/UHPLC) and mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), you will collect and analyse complex analytical data.
  • You will focus in particular on the factors of user-friendliness and suitability for routine use.
  • We will rely on your ability to handle and employ state-of-the-art analysis technology for biological matrices at a professional level.
  • With a trained eye for detail, you will write and review documentation in English, taking into account all the regulatory requirements, such as IVDR 2017/746.
  • You will be excellent at researching and documenting literature on scientific and analytical performance assessment.
    Last but not least, you will present your substantiated results convincingly within international and multifunctional project teams

What you will bring to the role:

  • You completed a degree in the natural sciences, such as chemistry, food chemistry or pharmacy – alternatively, you have a comparable qualification.
  • In either case, you have several years of relevant professional experience, developing and establishing methods to analyse complex sample materials.
  • You also have extensive knowledge of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (HPLC and LC-MS/MS).
  • Ideally, you will have hands-on programming experience – we will provide support to get you familiar with innovative software development tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with clinical laboratory diagnostics would also be a feather in your cap.
  • You have good command of written and spoken English.
  • At a personal level, you stand out for your meticulous working style, openness to new ideas and the right mix of initiative and team spirit.
